Sunshines Class have had lots of fun in Science. They explored different materials and ingredients, experimenting with what happened when water was added. Their favourite activity was mixing paint with waterthey got very messy but absolutely loved it!
This week, Shooting Stars class had fun visiting the art gallery. The pupils have had a very busy term exploring fruit and vegetables using our senses. Can you see our artwork in the photos? We painted strawberries and oranges! Students enjoyed visiting the gift shop and had fun admiring everyone's artwork.
A few of our pupils appeared on ITV News yesterday, taking part in rehearsals preparing for their performance at Symphony Hall tomorrow https://www.itv.com/watch/news/children-swap-school-hall-for-the-symphony-hall-for-birminghams-inclusive-concert/968dmjg?fbclid=IwY2xjawI_lmJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHcLBoy2Tm_AY_z_v1pzaaegAbxMIAs8rtDvJlUxGKvSt3OdIMJyymTCeAw_aem_tWxumCB-KeUL5manI7CH7Q
Red Nose Day 2025 is just around the corner, and we are excited to be joining in the celebrations for 40 years of Comic Relief on Friday 21st March. This year, we will be raising money to support those facing poverty both in the UK and around the world. - Red Noses: This year, a variety of Red Nose designs are available for purchase at £2.50 each. If your child would like to purchase a Red Nose, please bring the money in an envelope marked with your child's name and "Red Nose", and hand it to the class teacher by Monday 17th March. As we only have a limited number of Red Noses available, they will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Noses will be distributed randomly on Thursday 20th March. All money raised from Red Nose sales will go directly to Red Nose Day. - Dress Up (Optional): On the day, your child is welcome to wear something red to school! It is completely optional, but it will certainly help make the day even more fun. We would ask for a suggested donation of £1 from those who choose to dress up. Donations should be brought in a named envelope and handed to the class teacher. All donations will also go directly to Red Nose Day. - Class Activities: On the day, each class will have activities to celebrate Red Nose Day and raise awareness for this meaningful cause. Thank you for your support!
Last week, Satellite Centre took a group of students from Adventurer and Voyager to the café at Sunhaven as part of their ASDAN units. They selected their food and drinks from the menu, paid for their items, and then found a table to sit at. Over the coming weeks, all students in Adventurer and Voyager will have the opportunity to take part, with some traveling there by public transport.
Pupils at Reynalds Cross have recently been exploring the topic of shopping. Today, we hosted an Art Gallery showcasing their fantastic work, along with a gift shop where they could use tokens to buy art supplies. Here's a look at some of the amazing artwork created by our students. Thank you to everyone that came to visit.
