In Science, Neptune Class have been learning about maintaining good health and the human body. This half term, the pupils have focused on the organs in their bodies. Pupils have studied the heart by participating in exercises and checking their pulse to see if it was faster than before the exercise. They have also been learning about foods that help keep different organs healthy.
Moonbeams have been enjoying music sessions delivered by The Amber Trust this term. There are opportunities to listen to and explore lots of different instruments.
Sunshines class have been learning all about repetitive language and phrases. The pupils are really enjoying their story, The Elves and the Shoemaker. They have been able to identify the characters, and they are now building the repetitive phrases using both symbols and words
On Monday 25th November a concert is being held at Solihull School to raise funds for Reynalds Cross Please use the below link if you would like to purchase tickets https://www.trybooking.com/uk/EDLF
In Shooting Stars class, Year 1 pupils have been enjoying stories with repetitive phrases and words, including The Gingerbread Man. They had fun creating their own Gingerbread Man images by reading sentences that guided them on what to add next. They have also engaged in matching games, such as pairing objects or words with the appropriate pictures. Meanwhile, in Reception group, the children have loved the rhythmic story We're Going on a Bear Hunt. They explored props from the story and re-enacted scenes using play figures in various sensory trays. This remains a favourite story in our reading area, with many children choosing it either by asking with words or through symbol exchange.
